Azual Down Under

It's a long time since I had a holiday - too long. By the time this post goes live, I will hopefully have landed somewhere on the other side of the world, in the mysterious land they call Australia.

I'll be away for three weeks, returning on 20th November. I have a few more articles in varying stages of completion (including the next part of the faction cruisers series covering the pirate cruisers), however none of these are really polished enough to go live just yet, so expect no more blog updates until I get back.

To keep you going in the meantime, I do have a little alternative reading for you!

Firstly, here's a new blog by fellow Agony member Rylia. It's still in its infancy, but he's got a couple of nice posts there already relating to FCing, with another one in the works. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

Secondly, if you haven't read it yet Suleiman of the Tuskers put up a post recently around overheating. I meant to link it at the time since there's some really useful insight in there, but still - better late than never.

If that wasn't enough for you, I have more! Agony has a fairly extensive wiki which we use both internally and for students when we're running PVP classes. We're currently in the process of making the whole thing open to the public. Right now all the written material we used to provide to students should already be accessible, and you can find those articles here (click on the name of one of the classes, and the associated articles will be linked at the bottom). Some of these articles overlap with things I've already written about on the blog, while others are entirely new - hopefully there'll be something in that that you find valuable.

Ultimately we're planning to make all of our internal articles available too, but this will be a slightly longer process. It's entirely possible that this will happen before I return, but otherwise I'll keep you updated when it does.

Finally, I'm proud to announce that my blog has been accepted into the Eve Online Blog Pack. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the blog pack is a collection of some of the best currently active Eve blogs out there, and is managed by the avid blogger Rixx Javix of EVOGANDA. You can find the whole list of Blog Pack blogs over on the left of the screen here, and I strongly suggest you check them out!

See you at the other end!

  1. You planning to meet with any AUTZ eve players file you're down under, or is it a strictly 'no internet nerds' vacation?

  3. PVP "Univeristy"? Right below the "Eve Blog Pack Member" crest, just pointing it out for correction. I stumbled on your site when I Googled "Altruist" for an article I'm writing... What's the story on you and yours? I would really like to know. michaelcarsontalks.wordpress.com

The Altruist is the Eve Online blog of Azual Skoll, PVP instructor and small gang PVPer.
