Due to the article-like nature of my blog posts, there isn't really much room to talk about the little things you might find in other blogs - updates on what I'm doing, plugs for other bloggers, and stuff like that.
And so, this post is dedicated to exactly that!
First of all, the response to my merlin article has been very positive - good to know I'm not the only one who likes the idea! Let's not assume it only applies to the merlin though - many of the other t1 combat frigs are just as viable. Check our these posts concerning the punisher, and also this one (a video actually) showing just what the tristan is capable of.
In terms of new blogs, I recommend newer players take a look at 5K1's EVE. As with many other blogs it covers a new pilots first steps into PVP, however the way he's distilled it down into the key lessons to be taken from each fight strikes me as a really good idea. There's also liberal use of screenshots so you can really get an idea of how the fights took place (I believe he FRAPSes every fight).
Back in Eve itself, Agony recently moved home again; we've now returned to our ancestral hunting grounds in Syndicate - my personal favourite region in New Eden. There are plenty of other small PVP-centric groups living in the area, and so far action has not been hard to find. Without the large blobs of sov space, it's also an excellent area for small gang and solo roaming. We're currently based in 31-MLU up near the entrance to cloud ring, so feel free to stop by and pay us a visit.
Finally, I want to semi-announce a new project that I'm working on. It's closely related to the Know Your Enemy articles, and is inspired by the feedback I got on those from a number of you. That's all I'm going to say for now, but watch this space!

Thanks for the plug, mate! It coincides with my uploading a bunch of videos today. And funnily enough, my Rifter's been gathering dust since the weekend in favour of a Caldari frigate. Not the Merlin though, but my blog needs to catch up to my killing before I post about that.
ReplyDeleteAnd as per usual, I'm eagerly hanging out for your next post.
lol might see you out their in syndicate man, its where I usualy roam, hope you guys are more interesting than allot of gangs in that area. Speaking of running into you guys I thought of going on one of those Agony training fleets to see how they where btu I figured I would leave the slot open for some one who actualy could use it.
ReplyDeleteOh Noes! Breathing Fire has to be the worst of the three.
ReplyDeleteHighly Addictive 2 is light years beyond in terms of quality (video and of content).

All 3 feature mostly Tristan action, but it wasnt until 3 that I figured out what I was doing.
Thanks for the plug, GL.
In that case... Link updated!
